Swiss flight LX1418 from Zurich to Belgrade departed with a four and a half hour delay last Friday after four passengers refused to wear their face masks on board. The aircraft, an Airbus A321neo, started taxiing to the runway in Zurich after which the crew informed the captain that four travellers were refusing to wear their masks, a rule brought in as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. “Some people became a nuisance to other customers and refused to follow the crew members' instructions while on board. As a result, the customers involved were asked to disembark”, Swiss said. It added, “We expect all of our guests to comply with corporate Covid policies when they choose to fly with us and act accordingly when they don't. They are then issued a written notice if they refuse to do so. If that doesn't work, the police are called”. Four police officers were called in and arrested the four uncooperative passengers.
