The majestic Florence Cathedral, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the octagonal-shaped Baptistery may all be found in the medieval era Piazza del Duomo.
The view of the city skyline from the top of Brunelleschi’s dome, the tallest structure in the heart of Florence, is well worth the climb up its 463 steps. Piazzale Michelangelo, accessible through the historic Ponte Vecchio Bridge, is one of the few spots in Florence from which to take in the city’s breathtaking panoramas without getting lost in the crowds.
Tuscany is known worldwide for its lush vineyards and high-quality wines. Visiting local vineyards is the smartest way to get a taste of the Tuscan wine culture.
