Sarajevo Airport has seen its passenger numbers decline for a third consecutive month this year following Wizz Air’s decision to close its base in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital last November. Sarajevo Airport welcomed 133.945 passengers through its doors, representing a decrease of 13.5% on last year’s record, but still up 12.4% on the pre-pandemic 2019. During the first half of the year, Sarajevo Airport handled 533.741 travellers, a decrease of 4.5% on the same period in 2022.
