Turkish Airlines’ lower cost unit AnadoluJet is expected to commence flights between Ankara and Podgorica during the 2023/24 winter season. Following talks with the Turkish Ambassador to Montenegro, Montenegro’s President, Jakov Milatović, said, “I am delighted by the increase in nonstop flights between our two countries and the introduction of services between Podgorica and Ankara this autumn”. The two capitals have never been linked with a scheduled nonstop air service. The number of flights between Montenegro and Turkey has grown this summer, with Turkish Airlines increasing frequencies on services from Istanbul to both Podgorica and Tivat, while Pegasus Airlines commenced operations from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport to Montenegro’s capital.
