Air Montenegro will wet-lease an Embraer E190 aircraft from Ukraine’s Windrose Airlines for the upcoming 2024 summer season. It will complement Air Montenegro’s two E195s, as well as another Airbus A320 aircraft, which will be wet-leased from Croatia’s Trade Air. The Windrose Airlines jet will be part of Air Montenegro’s fleet from April 1 until October 31. Last year, the Montenegrin carrier also wet-leased a Windrose E190 over the summer. A wet-lease is a leasing arrangement whereby the lessor provides an aircraft, complete crew, maintenance and insurance to another airline. In a statement, Air Montenegro said, “The additional aircraft gives us the ability to expand our network of destinations and offer more flights to meet the needs of passengers during the summer season. With this step, we aim to ensure a high level of service during the journey for all our passengers and respond to the increased demand during the summer. With additional resources, Air Montenegro remains committed to providing a reliable and efficient service, while we continue to improve our offer and expand our presence on the market”. As previously reported, Air Montenegro will launch new seasonal flights from Podgorica to Munich and Ostrava, as well as from Tivat to Baku and Izmir this summer.
