Routes to and from Paris will commence in 2023

US-based airline JetBlue has announced new, direct routes between two major American cities (New York and Boston) and Paris, France, in a further sign that the airline intends to capitalise on the pent-up demand for travel which continues to fly to new heights. The announcement comes shortly after the commencement of a new route between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and London Heathrow Airport (LHR).

Direct flights will initially start between New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in the summer of 2023, and then routes between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and CDG will follow afterwards. Tickets for the newly announced routes will go on sale in the next few months, with prices yet to be confirmed.

Core Cabin and Mint Premium Experience

Passengers will travel on the airline’s Airbus A321 long-range aircraft and be able to choose between the Core cabin and the Mint premium experience. Those choosing the latter option will be afforded an exclusive travel experience that offers fully lie-flat seats in private suites and an innovative dining experience. Other features on offer to passengers on these new, transatlantic routes include unlimited, free-of-charge, high-speed Wi-Fi, extra-large storage lockers and generous legroom.

New Routes and New Opportunities

The news confirms JetBlue’s growing presence in Europe and strengthens the number of available routes that the airline is able to offer its growing US customer base. The new routes will also offer passengers ease of travel to key sporting events in France, including the Rugby World Cup in 2023 and the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024.

“The response to our London service is proof that combining great service with low fares works. We can’t wait to bring our reimagined Mint and core offerings to Continental Europe’s most visited city,” said Robin Hayes, JetBlue’s chief executive officer.
