“We are very happy to strike a renewed deal with Travelport to distribute Travelport+ and other related products in Ethiopian market. Our long-standing journey with Travelport remains very fruitful and useful for both parties and Travel Agencies in Ethiopia. Travelport’s new products, in addition to the main GDS Travelport+, are very important to simplify the business transactions in the market for both the Airline and Travel Agencies. I am very delighted that Ethiopian and Travelport decided to continue working together for the better future ahead. And I want to say congratulations to Travelport and to all Travel Agencies.”

Mark Meehan, Worldwide VP and Overseeing Chief for Worldwide Administrators at Travelport, commented on the imprinting feature as follows:

“We are delighted to renew our valued partnership with Ethiopian Airlines. Travelport and Ethiopian have a very strong growth record during our many years together, and the next 4 years will continue that success. Travelport+ is the world’s leading distribution system, and together with Ethiopian’s growth with travel agencies in Ethiopia and beyond, this is a winning partnership.  I’m confident that this strategic partnership will continue to increase value for our customers through a wider range of choice and enhanced retailing tools.”

Travelport+ & Ethiopian Airlines

An international technology business called Travelport manages bookings for millions of travel suppliers all around the world. Modern digital retailing is made possible by the company’s next-generation marketplace, Travelport+, which links travel vendors and buyers, enhances the way travel is sold and connects sellers and buyers.

The expanded partnership between Travelport and Ethiopian, which Business Insider recognised as the continent’s top airline earlier this year, is strengthened by the extended arrangement, which includes distribution on the Travelport+ platform.

Once Ethiopian Airlines makes material available through NDC distribution, the two companies will work together to give agents access to NDC content and Travelport+ features. Ethiopian Airlines will sign up for Travelport’s Rich Content & Branding (RC&B) initiative as part of the arrangement.
