The 500th Project

In 2016, after joining forces with Jin Jang International, LHG made a strong entrance into the highly competitive Chinese market by opening a modern-style living space under the brand Campanile, in the Bund area of Shanghai. The Group’s success has been and continues to be on the rise, with 263 hotels welcoming guests in big cities like Shanghai and Shenzhen and the establishments of brands like Golden Tulip and Kyriad.

As the end of the pandemic is slowly approaching, business and tourism are back to booming in China, and LHG is seizing the opportunity (see Chinese Aviation: How Has It Been Impacted By The Pandemic? – Travel Radar). Valued at almost $10 million, the Group’s 500th project is launching in February 2023 under Campanile. Max Cergneux, Chief Development Officer at Louvre Hotels Group, confidently stated that from now through 2025, the Group expects to expand Campanile, Golden Tulip, and Kyriad into more cities, including Chongqing, Chengdu, and Guiyang.

Facts about LHG and Jin Jang

Starting in France, LHG was founded by the renowned Taittinger family in 1976 and has continued building its reputation in the industry ever since. Today, the Group has opened over 1600 hotels, ranging from 1-5 stars, in over 60 counties across continents.

LHG became a part of Jin Jang International, the World’s 2nd largest hospitality chain, in 2015. Like other affiliates of Jin Jang, namely Shanghai Disneyland, KFC, and PIZZA Express, LHG has been growing rapidly.

Jin Jang International is one of the titans of the Chinese travel and hospitality market, carrying almost 80 years of experience. Its core businesses include; hotel management and investment, logistics and transport, and touristic services. Jin Jan now operates over 10,000 hotels and resorts in 120 countries around the globe, thanks to its partnerships with reputable hotel groups such as Marriot, Hilton, and InterContinental. Its vision is to reinforce and further expand the brand’s presence in the international market.

Campanile, Kyriad, Golden Tulip

Campanile serves its guests comfort in a modern environment; Kyriad, cosiness with chic and unique touches; Golden Tulip, 3 to 5 stars luxury.

There are over 400 Campaniles around the globe, with most located in Europe. In Asia, Campanile set itself in two prestigious cities in China (Shanghai and Nanjing) and one sublime metropolis in Vietnam (Danang).

SMART INSIDE and FitUp Room Features

In 2018, LHG introduced the innovative Smart Hotel Campanile Jing’An to the Shanghai playground. The “SMART INSIDE” label is designed for all services to be easily accessible via a web app. Guests only need to scan a QR code at the hotel lobby, and everything from check-ins to light and AC control is literally in their hands. Currently, there are only two more hotels of this kind; Campanile Huaihai in Shanghai and Campanile Smart Lyon Est Bron Eurexpo Aviation in France.

The newest feature that Campanile has added, and perhaps its most unique, is the FitUp rooms. Guests can exercise in the comfort of their hotel room, equipped with gym gear such as exercise mats, dumbbells, resistance bands, weighted balls from Decathlon Pro, and a playlist of workout videos from TrainMe.
